Super Llama: Llamas are awesome! (19)
My Bio
Drawing since 7 years old. Won a 6th grade award for a cover design. Began to trace and copy things a lot. Had numerous wildlife magazines to be inspired by pictures and other artists. I've plastered art all over the walls in my bedroom in the teen years. My brother and I were model car and slot car enthusiasts back then. Late teens, my family were billiard players, complete with a dance floor, jukebox and indoor BBQ. Ping-pong, air hockey and the swimming pool were favorites too. Carnivals and basketball were good for shootin' for donuts with the neighbor kids. We had a donut shop too. Kickball.baseball...we did just about everything. We had paintings throughout the house...most were gifts given at Christmas. I painted a few cars and motorcycle tanks. My first job was working for a custom motorcycle seat shop. I also worked in print shops designing logos and paste-up. My Parents, brother and I were bakers back then. We made good money. I bought my brothers 67 Firebird car, and my friend helped customize it in his dad's body shop. I was pretty much self taught, a lot of time was spent developing and drawing in perspective, mostly realistic. I kept it pure. I wanted to be a cover designer, but also wanted to race motorcycles. Today I work on 8&1/2x 11" paper or card stock, most of the drawings on this site are recent color pencil work. I also do mostly t-shirt designs. Enjoy!

I have been back from some travels in the Midwest, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, visited some friends, met a Souix Indian, cannoed a big lake,  had deer burger spaghetti and Apple tree smoked deer roast.......excellent roast, and some campfires with friend Clint in Montana. Mike in North Dakota had a cousin, who had a about a thousand head of buffalo, long dirt roads to get to his place.  Mike gave me the the deer meat. We shot some billiards in a local tavern, had good food and music. Road the BMW bike up to Mt. Rushmore. Took shots with a small digital camera to get back into big acrylic paintings. So far I have one hammered out .....

Yellow,  Haven't been onboard here for awhile. I have been in the 3 dimensions....living is the art. I stumbled on communication art with grease pencils or so called china markers. I wanted to put a message on the back of my truck that said; ' Be a light to others.....Drive Careful."  I bought a black china marker, and drew the letters across the whole tailgate. They seem to work....I could be bold and grind on heavy black, or subtle with a light medium. I chose the light. Later I erased the ; be a light to others." ....and left the' Drive Careful 'in large caps below. One day moving through town, a guy behind me with a big truck wanted to st
